Some folks are just awkard socially (I think, in general, it’s never a bad idea to share laughs rather than deriving them at someone’s expense (or at least figure out what they might find funny) when meeting them if you ever hope to actually spend time with them, but that’s just me after 60+ years on the planet). Still, the compressed timeline of on-line dating doesn’t seem to pritoritize getting to know anyone versus utilizing them for gratification of whatever our immediate need is (an awkward guy trolling for female company, or a would-be author trolling for relatable experiences for her target audience).
